If you do receive a call, email or letter asking you to send personal information claiming to be the bank do not do it without contacting the bank from a phone number you have already for the bank (The bank’s phone number is 217.379.2336). This is important as fraudsters can employ technology to spoof (that is present themselves on caller ID as) phone numbers of reputable businesses and associations. The number looks like a familiar number, but is a different phone number all together. Again, the bank and its employees will never ask you for information regarding your account on phone calls to you. If someone calls and does ask for your information, please hang up on them!
